hummus in the ingredients, so figured there would be a recipe for it in the book, there were three of them. I sort of combined/mixed two of the recipes and

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;m tired of feeling bloated and crappy, so am going gluten &amp; yeast free for awhile to see if it helps. I know I&#39;m supposed to be on a yeast,
gluten, and sugar free diet, I did it for a couple years way back and felt good, but fell off..... It&#39;s getting to the point where I can&#39;t ignore the
symptoms anymore and need to make some changes regardless of how difficult my family makes it for me(father and brother). I&#39;ll know within a couple days if

get my daily dose of raw veggies!

-1 (15oz) can of chickpeas, drained

-4 tbsp tahini
<br>
-4 tbsp lemon juice
<br>
-5 tbsp olive oil

<br>
-Paprika and olive oil, set aside

			<description><![CDATA[ I absolutely love this book!  I just got mine yesterday and I already added a few tasty recipes to it in the back section where you can write in more recipes! 
This book really does fit into your pocket, and I take it everywhere with me.  I can always use a good read, and the recipes rock!  Last night I made the
classic chocolate chip cookies, but instead of using chocolate chips, I used chopped pecans plus some maple syrup.  It was awesome!!

			<description><![CDATA[ Ridged gourd, sponge gourd, toray, silk gourd, loofah, several other names I can&#39;t remember.

I bought one of these in an Indian grocery store, and ate it.  It was good.
<br>
When young, it looks like a ridged cucumber (to which it is related).
<br>
When old and dry, it becomes a loofah sponge.
<br>
<br>
Peel off the ridges and the skin, and the flesh inside is a little spongy and white with a few edible seeds.
<br>
Cut into 3/4 inch chunks.

			<description><![CDATA[ Vegan Dining in Tulsa, OK.........is very very tricky and nearly non-existent.     Just recently we did get a very small restaurant called Pure Raw Cafe and
its vegan but also rawfood.   We do have Whole Foods that has a Hot Bar and Salad Bar that provides another option.   Be Le Vegetarian Restaurant is here its
an Asian restaurant that takes typical &quot;chinese&quot; dishes and use tofu, tempeh, etc to be mock meats.  I wouldnt certify it as vegan though.  Not sure

			<description><![CDATA[ OK, so after being afraid of collard greens for years, I finally decided to try them.

I&#39;d heard that you had to cook them for HOURS and with pork fat, so that scared me away.

For some reason I was under the impression they were bitter.  I was wrong.

Turns out, they are very mild.  You can eat them raw.  And if you cook them, they only need 20 minutes in a veggie broth simmer, and then maybe saute with a

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I live in Manitoba, Canada, and it gets pretty darn cold here...and somehow, although I&#39;ve lived here my entire life, I&#39;ve never managed to build up
a tolerance to the cold.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been finding it really difficult to find a good vegan-friendly winter coat. All I have right now is a little ski jacket, which really doesn&#39;t
do the job past -5 or so. I have a twenty minute walk to and from school every weekday, so I at least need something that will hold up for that... ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ We're cut off! ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>We&#39;re getting pounded by storms here, the island highway is flooded in many places, and is cut off completely due to a mudslide about 90 minutes from
us. One community is cut off because the road has washed out. At least we haven&#39;t lost power, many areas have been knocked out. A couple of the ferries
that service the gulf islands have had to have their sailings cancelled until the winds settle down.

At the Eleventh Hour of the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month, I remember my dear Father who passed in July, 2007.   He served in the Royal Navy during WWII
and lost many of his friends, including his only brother.  I honour his memory today by also remembering all of the fallen soldiers.   Who are you remembering

I kinda liked it.

I decided to keep it simple at first, so I&#39;d understand how to jazz it up later.

1 measure of millet.

3 measures of water.

Pinch of salt.

A bit of margarine.

(For two people I used 1/3 cup millet and 1 cup water.)
