Hi all,
I'm new here (and also a fairly new Vegan too). I've been Vegan for 4 months and was Vegetarian for 3 or 4 years before that. I'm from the UK and am about to move to the opposite end of the country to where all my family live. I love being Vegan, I'm losing weight and feel healthier, my asthma is much better. Once I'm moved and settled I would like to get more actively involved in Animal Rights and Environmental Issues (I start a degree in Environmental Sciences in Feb). Anyway, I'll stop going on now. Hi. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved package, but rather to skid in broadside, totally used up, thoroughly worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a ride!!"

Hi all!
Newbie vegan here! I bought Sarah's book earlier this month and it's the cat's meow! I switched to veganism for the obvious ethical issues, but I found as a bonus that my health has greatly improved! The only is that my fiance is Mennonite and was raised on a meat and potatoes diet. To support me he's decided to cut out red meat for one month... for him that's a huge sacrifice considering his upbringing! If anyone has advice about making a blended household (vegan/omnivorous) work, I'll welcome it! Anywho, pleasure to meet you cool cats... hope to chat with you soon! Kitty |
