Hi there! Okay that wasn't meant to be in italics...but I think it looks kind of cool!
We (my 4 year old son) and I have only been veganized for about 3 weeks but we crazy love it. I said we would try it for a month.... I don't know if I will ever eat meat again though! I found Sarah Kramer (books) at the library today and have been surfing govegan.net all night. I love it here! Looking forward to chatting with you and learning all that I can! |

Hey. I was here ages ago, but I don't remember any of my login information. Anyhow, I own way too many cookbooks (LDV made me feel like veganism was
possible, however, so it holds a special place in my heart), but I often end up eating uninspired, quick foods. I just made Jen's Soda Bread from LDV
though. I can't wait for it to cool enough so I can have some. Looking forward to reading/posting.

Hi I'm a newbie! Yeah, you've heard that a lot in this thread. LOL. Let me give you a quick run down about me. (WARNING, you are about to be
entertained as I am very very funny.)
I am 25. I am a boy. I am fun. I am gay. I am Jewish. I like to eat (hence I'm Jewish). I did lose 50 pounds! But I gained 11 pounds back (see: "I like to eat"). I am a new vegan. Became one for health reasons and to help heal our planet. Tikkun Olam is Hebrew for "Healing the World" Veganism is a wonderful form of Tikkun Olam. I am earning a master's in higher education. I am not entirely sure I want to work in higher education. I have a cat. I love her very much. Her name is Keekee Hailey. I have a partner. I love him. He is nice. He annoys me sometimes. But he spoils me when I am sick. I live in Chicago. Not for long. Moving to Colorado, which I love. But not until May 2010 when I graduate. I love the Rocky Mountains. I love Denver. I like vegetables. A lot. I like everything food-wise, but ONLY if it's Vegan. I love coffee, even though I have to cut back. I am allergic to cinnamon. And to mean people. I think people need to be nice. There are too many mean people out there. Roseanne Barr was my hero. Until I read her blog. And debated with her on her extreme viewpoints. And was treated very badly by her. Now I dislike her. Even though I can do a dead on impression of her. I also do Thelma Harper from Mama's Family. And Ms. Swan from Mad TV. Did I mention that I like, No, LOVE chocolate. I like all varieties of vegan chocolate. Like Sarah Kramer I also LOVE basil. I also love cilantro. Sometimes I just want to roll around in it.
